The season opens with Latino Night on Friday, May 16th from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at 723 20th Street, right next to Dwell in the ViBe Apartments. In collaboration with the ViBe Creative District and the City of Virginia Beach, this family-friendly event will transform the 20th Street cul-de-sac into an open-air cultural block party filled with color, rhythm, and soul. Expect bold Latin beats, delicious street food, and a powerful showcase of community pride.
Inspired by the energy and spirit of international street festivals from places like São Paulo, Cartagena, and San Juan, Latino Night will bring together a global lineup of food trucks serving authentic dishes from across Latin America. From tacos and empanadas to Brazilian street food and Caribbean delights, your taste buds are in for a passport-worthy adventure. The event also features live music, dance performances, local artisans, interactive art stations, and games for all ages, making it an immersive celebration of culture and creativity.
But the International Night Market is more than just a great night out—it’s a movement. Founded and led by Victor Leite, a Brazilian-born entrepreneur and community leader with a deep passion for cultural representation, the series is built on a mission to create space for international voices to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Leite, an active member of the Friends of the Creative District, envisions the market as a platform for connection, inclusivity, and economic opportunity.
