On the second Sunday of every month, the Children’s Museum of Virginia provides children with special needs and their families the opportunity to visit the museum in a less overwhelming environment. The museum hopes to alleviate any stress by opening early with reduced lights and sounds for them to enjoy the museum through adapted programs and exhibits as well as a reduced number of visitors.

Upon request the museum can provide ear coverings, weighted vests and more.

Cost is $5 per person with one caregiver admitted for free
